The client sought to transform an existing garage into a mother-in-law suite. The space underwent a complete gut renovation, featuring new flooring, fresh paint, and updated finishes throughout. Because the original garage was accessed through the kitchen, the kitchen was reconfigured and renovated to create a more cohesive and functional layout.

On the upper level, two existing bedrooms were combined to create a spacious primary suite complete with a dedicated sitting area. To replace the converted garage, a new attached garage was added to the rear of the home, providing direct access to a newly designed mudroom and laundry room. As part of the renovation, the laundry room was relocated from the basement to the main floor, creating a more convenient and functional layout for everyday living.
